Studies have shown that petroleum jelly has been equal to or outperformed all ointments including expensive "scar ointments" like mederma as well as antibiotic ointments. It is the least expensive and the most effective choice. Some people don't like to put petroleum jelly on their body for other reasons and that is understandable. Several ways to remove moles that look benign or are in question. One is shave removal and one is excision with stitches. If the mole is removed by shave removal then it will heal without sutures . If it is removed by deep excision then sutures will be in place for a week or so. Your dermatologist can decide what removal with give you the best diagnosis as well as the best cosmetic outcome.

In general black tattoos are some of the easier tattoo colored ink to treat . There are many lasers used to treat tattoos and some of the other colors such as light green and yellow can be more challenging. Some of the lasers I use for treating tattoos include the Q switched NdYag and the KTP. They do well with balcks and reds in particular. Just remember all tattoss will require multiple treatments to get rid of the tattoo or fade it significantly.
