Answer Snippet
Fat transfer or Radiesse for loss of volume on back of hands? Vein reduction or vein removal?
fat transfer / vein removal
Apr 8, 2019
Most patients look at options of fat transfer to the hand and/ or vein removal because of aging and loss of volume. In my experience Radiesse works well, it corrects the volume loss and makes the appearance of the veins subtle. I at times will do sclerotherapy on hands with 2 % to 3% STS for patients wanting the veins removed after filler injections. The product cost is more with Filler but so is the predictable results and patient satisfaction.

Botox treatment

I agree with Dr Grossman. Patients can feel light headed for a number of reasons. I generally have the patients lay down instead of elevating the legs. I recommend following up with your doctor if you have more questions
What is the treatment for matting from sclerotherapy with Asclera 1% for mostly reticular veins? (Phot
Treatment for matting
Apr 8, 2019
I generally recommend stopping treatment and waiting. Matting should disappear over time. Sometimes more treatment with sclerotherapy or BBL can help. You should follow up with the treating physician.
Should I try someone else for second filler treatment?
Under Eye filler
Feb 19, 2019
I would personally use a cannula and Belotero. The area to inject is the moat between the cheek and the eye and it seems like the filler was either injected too high or it moved.
I had Sclerotherapy 4 days ago and have joint stiffness and pain. Could it be the compression hose?
Exercise after spider vein and varicose vein treatment
Feb 11, 2019
We treat veins on a daily basis. Staying active is encouraged post treatment. I prefer my patients to walk about a mile a day or be on elliptical cross trainer for 15-20 mins. I ask my patients to avoid lifting heavy stuff ( more than 20 pounds ) or doing high impact training (like jumping jacks) just because they can make the legs sore. There is limited evidence that compression socks impact results of spider veins treatment. There is more evidence that compression helps with...

Results of Sclerotherapy
Feb 11, 2019
There are 3 things going on here. One is the bruising, another is the blue reticular vein underneath the skin that appears closed. That vein has trapped blood and removing the trapped blood will lead to faster healing. The third is the red spot that appears to be open spider veins in the picture. You can press your finger on the red spot and if the spider vein is open, you will be able to clear the area of red veins and if the vein is closed, you won't be able to empty the area of...
Is it possible if I do vein Sclerotherapy, that I will get blood clots again?
Blood Clots and sclerotherapy
Feb 11, 2019
I will not do any vein treatment for unto two years after a Blood clot in the legs (DVT) or a clot that goes to the lungs (PE). Most patients are on blood thinners for 3-6 months. I do sclerotherapy and vein treatments on such patients after assessing their deep veins to make sure there is no residual blockage. I will also put such patients on oral anticoagulants couple of days before to a month after treatment.
