FemiLift: How much does it cost?
Femilift cost and insurance
Jan 17, 2018
The Femilift procedure is not generally covered by insurance. As a gynecologist, I am aware of most insurance limitations for various procedures. Charges may vary from location to location. My office currently charges $1250.00 for the first treatment and $1100.00 for the second and third treatments. In my office, there is, at this time, no charge for an initial consultation to determine whether or not the procedure is indicated for a particular person. It is important to have a GYN…
Is there a cut off age for doing the procedure, as in when are you too old?
Femilift at certain ages
Jan 17, 2018
The results of Femilift treatment would be expected to be beneficial at ages beyond the mid-20’s without any limit in future years as the vaginal tissue responds to the CO2 laser energy with an increase in the vaginal lining thickness and underlying tissue support. Everyone deserves the best quality of life possible. As a gynecologist, I do not believe in a “cut-off point” for helping people feel like themselves.

Is 4 months apart too long of a wait to get 4th treatment of FemiLift?
Is 4 months apart too long of a wait to get 4th treatment of FemiLift?
Jan 17, 2018
The protocol that I use in my practice is based on published reports of 3 treatments about 1 month apart. If a vacation or other issue prevents return exactly on time, I would feel comfortable repeating the procedure when it is possible. With regards to more than 3 treatments, I want to recommend that you discuss this with your previous treating physician to determine their experience. When there has been a good initial treatment outcome, I have offered a follow-up…

Femilift after bladder lift surgery
Jan 17, 2018
As is a gynecologist, the primary reason that I employ Femilift in my practice is for the treatment of vaginal atrophy or dryness. I have also found that the Femilift procedure will often help mild symptoms of urinary leakage either related to coughing or sneezing or occasional leakage prior to reaching the restroom. The Femilift is not expected to treat surgical type relaxation of the vaginal walls. As with any procedure, bladder lift procedures have a failure rate. …
Why did I develop a fever after four hours and got sick after my first FemiLift treatment?
Femilift side effects
Jan 17, 2018
It is not expected to develop fever after the Femilift procedure. If there is no other source identified, such as a respiratory virus, which would be managed by your primary care physician, it would be important to make a follow-up visit with the physician who treated you with the Femilift procedure.
Femlift or Mona Lisa treatment for Vaginal Cancer Patients?
Femilift or Mona Lisa Touch with vaginal scarring or previous radiation treatment
Oct 18, 2017
I personally do not recommend fractional CO2 laser treatment such as Femilift use and women who have had vaginal radiation. Often times, gentle self massage of the vaginal opening may be helpful after training by a physician. If the type of cancer would allow future treatment with estrogen, local estrogen therapy applied directly inside the vagina may be helpful. The stress urinary incontinence may be treated with medications. Please follow up with your GYN or…
Is a 52 year old with an IUD a FemiLift candidate?
Femilift for urinary leakage with coughing or sneezing
Oct 18, 2017
I acquired the Femilift device primarily to treat vaginal thinning in women who could not use estrogen. I quickly discovered that many of my patients did report a decrease in urinary leakage. Leaking with coughing or sneezing is called stress urinary incontinence. It is important to have an evaluation to make sure there is not a bladder infection and also to evaluate for the presence of a bladder hernia into the vagina called a cystocele. If a large cystocele is…
