Post labiaplasty bruising
Jul 2, 2018
Thank you for your question. The bruising you have appears to be normal. Some people will have more of this than others. Avoid over activity for about a week and avoid aspirin and NASIDs. Also if you take fish oil you may want to stop this for a week or so. Good luck!
Do you see the nerves when cutting labia?
Nerves
Jun 30, 2018
Thank you for your question. When you do a labiaplasty you usually do not see the nerves. At this point the nerves are usually very small and are not easily seen. Now you can see larger nerves sure as the pudendal nerve you mentioned. The development of neuralgia post labiaplasty is a very rare event so I personally do not use neurontin post op. Occasionally pt will have some numbness in the area of the incision line. These nerves usually develop new branches and feeling returns. Done in …
Botched wedge labiaplasty?
Botched labialplasty?
Jun 30, 2018
Thank you for your question. At this point it is very difficult to evaluate the results. You have a good amount of post op swelling which is normal. You need to give it at least six weeks to 3 months before beginning to make any judgements. The first week or two after surgery things can look really rough.
9 days post-op labiaplasty, am I healing well?

Thank you for your question. Your pictures are a little dark but it appears you are healing well. You still have some swelling which is not unusual. I would recommend placing an ice pack on the area to help with the swelling. You may also want to contact your surgeon and let them take a look.

Suture reaction
Jun 29, 2018
Thank you for your question. It does appear that you are have a reaction to the suture. It’s not necessarily an allergic reaction. It’s a combination of the suture and how they were used. This will resolve with time as the sutures dissolve.
One of my labia lips is bigger then the other but doesn’t look or feel swollen 1 month post
Asymmetrical swelling
Jun 29, 2018
Thank you for your question. It is not unusual to have swelling on one side more than the other. I would give it a min of 3 months before making any judgements on the results.

Thank you for your question. From your description I think you are having some swelling around suture knots. This will go away with time. How long depends on what type and size of suture was used. You probable should have your surgeon take a look just to make sure that everything is healing well. Good luck
