Is there a limit to how many times you can get lipo on an area?
more lipo and abdominal etching
Sep 1, 2020
At some point there is no fat left for harvest to do the fat transfer. It not only is hard to get out due to scar tissue, but much more difficult to correct contour irregularities the more often it is performed. Ab etching really depends on the skin quality and patient selection. I offer it for my patients who have the body habitus of looking more athletic and with good skin quality. I’ve performed it on revision lipo, tummy tucks as well. It is technically more difficult. Choose your…
Best options for better looking breasts?
breast surgery after weight loss
Sep 1, 2020
To improve deflated droopy breasts. The most common procedure recommended is a breast lift. The scars required can extend from around the areola to the front and along the fold. The end results will give you a perkier breast shape.
Hope that helps and best wishes!

breast explantation expectations
Jul 19, 2020
Difficult to answer. Multiple factors may come in to play that may affect your breast appearance. Weight gain, tissue stretching, aging, pregnancy, etc. It is impossible to predict your “after” appearance. If you take them out, then your body will return to a “new normal” . Most likely your breast and skin tissue will have stretched a little, maybe lost some breast tissue as well. If you are unhappy with the “new normal” then a breast lift may be a consideration at the time of the…
Am I a Good Candidate for a BBL?
BBL candidate
Jul 19, 2020
Patients who are good candidates for a BBL are those with sufficient fat to harvest who are at a stable weight. Areas to harvest the fat for fat transfer are usually the torso (abdomen, back, flanks). If these areas have loose skin (abdomen is most likely) then the result of that will be more loose skin which always appears worse. These areas of loose skin should be avoided for fat transfer, or ideally treated with skin removal (ie. tummy tuck).
One of the most important points to make…

Best long term result is when you are at a stable long term body weight.  No active diets to lose or gain weight.  i do not recommend weight gain for a BBL.  The volume for fat transfer will depends on how much fat you have for transfer and how much you butt can take.  Hope that helps and best wishes!Dr. MoralesABPS Board Certified Plastic SurgeonHouston, Tx@drmorales_fitdoc
Breast implant revision needed. What are my options?
breast revision
Jul 4, 2020
Sorry to hear your troubles.  Each additional breast surgery adds complexity.  The next procedure to address your concerns may include choosing a firmer gel implant, downsizing implant, changing breast implant plane, need for breast lift.  One of the aspects that will be challenging is the lack of breast tissue.  If a lift is needed to give you the desired outcome, this can be risky with blood supply to the areola.  Expect this issue to be a focus of discussion with your surgeon. Hope …

Jun 20, 2020
Anemia is one of those medical issues that must be optimized before having a tummy tuck.  The minimum hemoglobin that my facility requires is 10.  12 if there is more procedures are performed at the same time.  Best to visit with your PCP to optimize you health before your procedure.  Hope that helps and best wishes!Dr. MoralesABPS Board Certified Plastic Surgeon@drmorales_fitdoc

ideal BMI
May 19, 2020
MMO can be performed safely in higher BMI patients in good health.  But your “ideal” outcome is dependent of your desire to lose weight.  The best long term results are performing the procedures at a body weight you can maintain.  I do not recommend that you lose weight for a procedure by fad diets if you cannot maintain that weight after.  Inevitably patients gain weight after the procedure compromising their results.  hope that helps and best wishes!Dr MoralesABPS Board Certified Plastic…

Butt augmentation options
May 15, 2020
Women who want fuller proportions with insufficient fat for transfer should strongly consider implants.  It is a supply and demand issue.  A BBL is limited with projection and shape optimization even with sufficient fat volume for transfer.  Despite previous fears of complications associated to implants, as well as inexperienced surgeons stating it isn’t a good choice, the procedure is actually safe, with great outcomes.  You just have to find a surgeon that specializes in the procedure with…
Who is right as I have been recommended normal lipo/Vaser Lipo at my consultations?
lipo and BBL
May 10, 2020
Great question.  If you saw 10 surgeons, each one would likely have a different opinion.  Multiple factors come in to play:  Surgeons experience, technique, expertise are the top ones for this procedure.  Any surgeon who does BBL’s frequently will hopefully be honest with you if you don’t have sufficient fat for a noticeable or desired outcome.  It is 100% a supply and demand issue.  If you don’t have enough fat, then  implants would be a better option.  If you consider implants, then you …

breast revision
May 8, 2020
Aging does have impact on breast shape.  Weight gain, thinning tissue, GRAVITY will be the main culprits.  If you have plenty of breast tissue already, then downsizing and/or removing the implants could be a consideration.  A lift will likely be required to restore to a better shape. I recommend that you see a surgeon who has strong focus in breast surgery.  Revision surgery is much more complicated.  Anticipate the cost would be a little more than you would expect.  This is one of those sur…

picking the right implant size
May 7, 2020
This is your decision.  Helpful tools are sizing systems, and sometimes imaging software.  Implant selection is guided by your surgeon.  Idea is to find an implant that will meet your needs and limited by your anatomy.  If you are still unsure, consider going back and trying on the sizers again to be sure you will be happy. You don’t need lipoHope that helps and best wishes!Dr. MoralesABPS Board Certified Plastic SurgeonHouston, Tx@drmorales_fitdoc

abdomen fullness
Apr 3, 2020
I’ve seen this on occasion. You appear to have both an internal visceral fullness, but also combined with a “neurogenic abdomen”.  The second part is the most challenging.  I believe that there is nerve damage associated to some women’s pregnancy.  This results in abdominal muscles that cannot contract as well or have been weakened.  The nerve recovery may improve with time.  I haven’t seen much improvement based on the patients I’ve seen with this issue.  My strategy for improving this abd…

Desired BBL
Mar 31, 2020
Just based on your BMI, I would say that you would be disappointed with the outcome.  Most women want to see “noticeable” results.  The reality is that you don’t have enough fat likely to do so.  It is as supply and demand issue.  If you don’t have the supply to give you the desired outcome, that is it.  Yes, you can do it anyways, called a “skinny BB:”, but most women are often disappointed.  I think you have a great figure.  Most women would love to have a figure like yours!Hope that help…

Mar 31, 2020
It really depends on your subjective desire of “natural”.  Size you want, and also what shape of breast you are willing to accept.  If you do not want a lift, then typically a larger implant will reduce the need. You would find it helpful visiting a surgeon in person.  External sizing systems, and/or virtual simulations can help guide you in your desired outcome.  And obviously further discussion with your surgeon about options.  Hope that helps and best wishes!Dr. MoralesABPS Board Certif…
