Removing raised facial moles with least scarring by dermatologist?
Removal of rasied facial moles
Nov 4, 2015
Photographs are difficult to interpret. Your best bed would be a face-to-face consultation with a dermatologist specializing in skin surgery, such a Mohs surgeon.Based on the photograph, it appears you have a compound nevus - it is a mole that has superficial pigmented component and a deeper one. The deeper component may result in mole re-growth if not removed completely. Thus, excision of the mole followed by reconstruction is the best way to eliminate the possibility of regrowth. This is...
Pre cancerous mole removed, has returned. Any suggestions?
Recurrent mole
Nov 4, 2015
You should see a dermatologist as soon as possible. In the meantime, obtain a copy of the pathology report from your doctor who biopsied the mole. Your dermatologist will appreciate having this information on hand to expedite decision making. When you call to schedule an appointment, you should be able to give the exact diagnosis as it appears on the pathology report. If it is sufficiently ominous, you may get in faster.
What would be the best way to remove the mole on my nose?

This is not a major procedure, but like any surgery will leave a thin linear scar. However, final recommendation can only be given after a face-to-face consultation

Will Miradry Increase my Risk of Cancer?
MiraDry does not increase risk of cancer
Nov 4, 2015
MiraDry is a safe and effective way of removing unwanted hair and sweat glands from your axillae (armpits). There have been no reports of cancers triggered by MiraDry. The energy used by MiraDry is the same as used in your average cell phone. You are likely to be exposed to less electromagnetic radiation with MiraDry than with a long telephone conversation while holding your phone by your ear. Isn't that something to think about?
Head pain after I had Mohs surgery
Headaches after surgery on forehead
Nov 4, 2015
Based on your surgical dates you are in "contraction" wound healing stage. During this healing stage the scar begins to thicken by pulling tissue towards the center of the scar. If muscle was involved during surgery and/or reconstruction, tension headaches that feel like a tight band around forehead or entire head may occur. There is also the risk of nerve injury during surgery. The best course of action is to speak with your surgeon. S/he may recommend scar massage - rolling and pinching...
