If you do have an infection this should be treated – I would recommend attending an in-person consultation with your plastic surgeon so that they can review your nose, diagnose/treat the infection and be able to assess if it is safe and appropriate to replace your septal piercing.

Hardening of the breast with implants inserted can sometimes be a sign of capsular contracture. The best recommendation is to see your plastic surgeon for an in person assessment and also a breast ultrasound to diagnose if there are any complications arising from your breast implants.

Keeping your arms by your side (no lifting arms above shoulder height) for at least the first three to four weeks, as this will allow your incisions time to heal and prevent any wound breakdowns. Also ensuring that you don’t exercise, try to eat a healthy diet and drink plenty of fluids. Smoking and recreational drugs can affect wound healing, it is best to avoid these pre and post surgery. Please consult with your plastic surgeon for all of their specific post operative instructions.

Swelling after a Rhinoplasty can last up to twelve months post operatively. Swelling can cause an asymmetrical appearance as swelling can reduce differently from side to side. I would recommend to discuss your concerns of asymmetry with your plastic surgeon as they will be able to advise if this is due to swelling.

It is very common for patients not to like their physical appearance in the immediate post operative period after surgery. It can take approximately three to six months for visible results including the shape and size of your breasts, as the swelling needs to reduce and the breast tissue needs to settle around the implant. I would recommend allowing your implants to settle and discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon.
