Ptosis surgery undercorrection or completely ineffective? Answers and opinions appreciated
PTOSIS AFTER SURGERY
Mar 13, 2018
I would allow several months of additional healing time before considering a revision. If a posterior approach (Mueller’s muscle resection) was performed, an anterior approach utilizing a skin incision can be used for ptosis correction on an outpatient basis.
Overcorrection 3 years after ptosis surgery, what can I do now to make them the same?
Ptosis
Mar 13, 2018
Your right upper eyelid is lower than your left. The outcome should have both upper eyelids matching in height and shape. I specialize in revision eyelid surgery and have helped many patients like you in the past.
I want to take care of my lower eyelid retraction. What surgery should I do?
Lower Eyelid Retraction.
Mar 13, 2018
Repair of your lower eyelid retraction can include use of a graft hidden on the back of your eyelid to increase its height and/or tightening of the eyelid using a small incision at the corner of each eye. Just tightening the eyelid may worsen the retraction, so a formal examination should be performed to assess your eyelid laxity and position before planning surgery.
I Had Botox Done Last Week, Which Resulted to a Droopy Right Eye. Can Squeezing Very Strongly the Eye
Botox and Ptosis
Sep 21, 2013
Sorry to hear about the droopy lid after Botox. Squeezing your eyelids will not help. Apraclonidine eye drops will help elevate the eyelid. This drop is preferred because phenylephrine drops can dilate your pupil, cause light sensitivity, and make reading difficult. With time, the ptosis will resolve.
Can Permanent Stitches Be Used in Revisionary Canthoplasty?
Permanent stitches and canthoplasty.
Sep 18, 2013
Permanent stitches are commonly used during canthoplasty but are not the rule. Even with permanent stitches, an additional procedure to help further support your eyelid, such as a graft to the back of the eyelid or a cheek lift may be necessary to achieve the best surgical result.

A photo would help better assess your eyelid position and suggest a surgical plan to maximize your result.

Un Even Stitches?
Healing..
Sep 17, 2013
Jessely, Swelling and bruising will take time to disappear and one eyelid may heal faster than the other. At 5 days after surgery I would not worry.
Eye Lid Discoloration, Chemosis Normal 1 Month After Transcutaneous Blepharoplasty With Canthoplasty?
Chemosis and healing after blepharoplasty.
Mar 7, 2012
What you are experiencing is common after surgery, especially after canthoplasty. Swelling and bruising vary from patient to patient. Chemosis and lower eyelid swelling can take some time to completely resolve. Swelling often settles in the lower eyelids and cheeks because of gravity. With time all swelling and bruising go away. Chemosis has a bark worse than its bite. Although unsightly, chemosis rarely causes damage to the eye.
