Can I get a nipple lift with implants to avoid scarring?
Nipple Lift
Dec 12, 2017
Hi,
Thanks for your question. Based on the pictures you provided and the information given, if you were my patient I would need to make a “tennis racket” type incision to perform the augmentation and nipple lift. Your preoperative nipple position is very low and I don’t think that a periareolar incision would be enough to lift the nipple alone.
I hope this helps,
Dr. White
Are all patients candidates for a drainless tummy tuck?
TT – drains
Dec 12, 2017
The choice to place drains is a combination of the surgeons preference and has a bit to do with the patient. Some surgeons perform a drainless tummy tuck routinely and only place drains during surgery if they feel the patient requires a drain. This is what I do. Sometimes having a drain facilities healing and getting rid of the fluid build up and patients find that they heal quicker.
Good luck,

BA last Friday – Is it normal for tingling and numbness from a little past areola all around to nipples
Post surgery
Dec 12, 2017
Hello,
Thank you for your question. Based on the information you provided and your question I would say yes it is normal to have some numbness and tingling after surgery. The amount and duration will differ depending on the type of surgery, location of the incision and the size of the implant. It usually takes weeks to months for this to improve. You should discuss this issue with your surgeon and carefully monitor it for change.
Good luck,

Dr. White

Awful tuberous breasts
Tuberous Breasts
Dec 12, 2017
Thank you for your question.
After reviewing your details and photos I can say that you are certainly a challenging case. There are many different approaches to dealing with the tuberous breast. However, the good news is that your surgery with an implant should certainly make an improvement in the aesthetic look of your breast. Pls see the attached video when we talk about this breast deformity and how to fix the different aspects of the breast.

Good luck,

Breast reduction going from cup size DDD to C. How many grams should my surgeon remove from each breast
Breast Reduction
Oct 31, 2017
Hello,
Thank you for your question. It is very difficult to answer this question based only on the picture and the information given; however, I would say that it is unlikely that removing only 100 g from each breast would change your size from a DDD to a C cup. The cup sizing system is fraught with issues in itself because cup size is not a standardized unit used universially across the clothing industry. The other issue is that for your surgery you will need both breast tissue and skin…
I am 25 with moderate tuberous breasts. Will a plastic surgeon completely remove my areola/nipples?
Tuberous Breast
Oct 31, 2017
Hello,
Removing the nipples and areola is not regularly done when correction a tuberous breast deformity. The areola is typically made smaller by removing some of the outer pigmented tissue in a ring like fashion. Most tuberous breast corrections involve placing an implant and also correcting tight bands in the breast tissue if present. You should discuss these issues with your surgeon closely.
Good luck,
Dr. White
Now that I’ve had a breast lift with small implants (255cc), can I get larger implants placed?
Larger Implants
Oct 31, 2017
Hello,
Thank you for your question. Generally patients can increase the size of implants after a primary breast lift with implants. However, it is sometimes difficult to say if repeated mastopexy (breast lift) would be needed. The factors that influence if a breast lift is needed is the nipple position. It is hard to predict but based on the picture its probably unlikely that the nipple would need to be lifted again. You would really have to discuss this issue in detail with your…
