Hi there! it is unlikely that you will have issues from lying down after the treatment. the idea behind this is that the botox will “migrate” elsewhere and affect areas that werent intended. we often give our patients precautions, but this is up to the provider. in my opinion, within a few minutes you’re fine to do what you want after botox. futhermore, your doctor was certainly right to lay you down until you felt better– it would be way worse if you fell and injured yourself.

Hi there!
hard to tell without actually examining you- but if it shows when you grimace, its likely banding from the action of the platysma muscle. the likely reason why this is now showing after kybella, is that the platysma bands were probably hidden under the fat, and now that the fat is gone, they show more. further, there is an element of skin laxity, which can happen anytime fat is removed– we often rely on the skin to “snap back” after the fat is removed, but sometimes this doesn’t…

Hi there! I am so sorry to hear of this trauma and the scar… I can’t actually see the scar in this photo, but I would venture to guess that botox wouldn’t do the trick. if the scar is indented like a dimple, you may need 1) to cut the scar bands that are deep and tethering it down, and 2) place something between the tissues so they don’t tether down again. you are lovely and everyone has facial asymmetry– for EVERYONE, one side is wider, and the other is thinner. I would not have the expectation of ever achieving perfect symmetry. it doesn’t exist! (thank goodness 😉
with that being said, facial slimming can be done with various procedures. one is botox to the masseter, to make that area a little less strong. another is to remove the buccal fat pads– this can give a subtle but effective reduction ins fullness in the lower cheek….

Hi there!! you have a very very mildly asymmetric smile, which can be corrected with botox– the same way it can be used to treat a “gummy” smile. it make take a few tries and some tweaking to get it exactly right.

Hi there! the bands are caused by the action of the platysma muscle. this muscle is a thin sheet of muscle that basically separates your neck into a superficial and deep space. the important stuff is basically all underneath the platysma. the platysma does NOT hold your head up or really serve much of a musculoskeletal function.

you have deep lines around the mouth, which are difficult to treat, but it is possible.
I am not a laser girl, but I do have experience with deep chemical peels, which can certainly help significantly soften then appearance of the lines. there are studies that show efficacy and safety in doing a fairly deep peel in conjunction with microdermabrasion– you should go to someone REALLY GOOD at this in particular, if this is something you would be interesting in pursuing– it does…
