Women will find that they may have some irritation or a burning sensation with urination following the MonaLisa Touch treatment. This should not last long, maybe a day or two. We recommend using Aquafor to help with this irritation. We have seen that this occurs more with the first treatment and less with the 2nd or 3rd treatments.

It has always been my understanding that if mesh is in the vagina, MonaLisa is not an option for any patient. Therefore, I am sorry to say that We would not recommend MonaLisa Touch with mesh especially when it is exposed.

We have treated women with a history of genital herpes. You would always want to make sure that this is dormant and being proactive may be a great idea during your course of treatment of 3 or more MonaLisa Touch treatments.
If at anytime during your treatment you feel that you may be having an onset, make sure to contact your gynecologist.

Is a 5th MonaLisa Touch treatment unreasonable?

The 5th treatment of MonaLisa Touch is not unusual. We have had a number of women who need an additional 1 or 2 external treatments to accomplish our goals. I would trust your gynecologist who is treating you with MonaLisa Touch. Hopefully after this 5th treatment your symptoms will settle down.
There are a few women who do not completely resolve from their itching symptoms who may need further investigation.

We have seen women start to notice some improvement from their symptoms starting anywhere after 3 weeks of their first treatment of 3. Treatments for MonaLisa Touch is usually done every 6 to 8 weeks. There are some women who may take a little longer to notice improvement.
