You should check with your provider, however it should be fine to continue your topical retinoid between treatments. At my practice we advise our patients to avoid active products over the treated area 1 week pre- and post-procedurally.

Hi,It's hard to tell right after the injections if it is product placement or if it's due to the swelling at the injection sites. There can be residual swelling for up to 2 weeks. Icing will help the swelling go down but you should have a good idea of what your lips will look like in a few days.

It could also be small hematomas or the product itself if it was injected too superficial. Light massage can also be helpful if instructed by the provider as well.
