Typically, permanent sutures used for diastasis repair remain in place and are not ‘rejected’. Over time, the fibrosis will maintain the repair. If absorbable sutures break down prior to the formation of adequate fibrosis to occur, it is possible that the repair might not hold. Both techniques are used and are based on the preference of the surgeon.

If the port needs to be exchanged, the bariatric Surgeon would be needed to exchange the port. I would suggest that you ask your bariatric Surgeon as to whether or not they are able to exchange the port. In our practice, we utilize Vectra imaging for a 3D view of the implant on each patient. Thank you for the question. It appears that you would be a great candidate for the under eye filler. Without an in person consultation, it is difficult to assess exactly how many syringes will be required. A less cross linked choice, like Volbella, attracts less water to the area and leaves one less likely to appear puffy. There are 1cc and 0.5cc syringes available (~$650/$350 per syringe). If fat was removed from the area above the buttocks and grafted to the indented areas, you would get the definition desired and full the lateral indentations. Hello and thank you for the great question. You should have no issues with a TT in May as long as you keep the incision line and the area around the drains clean and dry with soap and water. Take a hairdryer on cool setting and dry your steri strips until they fall off naturally. Follow all post op instructions and keep all appointments with your Board certified plastic surgeon.
