Am I candidate for more filler or should I dissolve my filler?
Discuss with your injector
Aug 28, 2023
If it was hyaluronic acid filler, correction could include dissolving some of the filler with hyaluronidase or further balancing with additional filler product. I would discuss with your provider and to see if their aesthetic eye matches your end goal.
How soon after nanofat transfer can I get filler, Botox & microneedling?
Discuss with your surgeon
Aug 28, 2023
In my practice, after fat transfer, I allow patients to have Botox or microneedling at the same time or any time post-procedurally. With regards to filler, I would be OK with hyaluronic acid filler to the area 2 months post-procedure, after I have a better idea of how much fat remains following the resolution of swelling. Your surgeon will advise best, as their understanding of your anatomy, and your procedure, will be most pertinent.
Thigh dent 6 months after lipo. Any advice?
Contour irregularities are common after extremity liposuction
Aug 23, 2023
It is important for you and your plastic surgeon to discuss the risks related to aggressive liposuction, as contour irregularities in the thighs are common. To correct this, you would likely need an additional procedure, possibly fat transfer or additional round of liposuction to smooth things out. Morpheus 8 aims to tighten the skin, to a depth of 7-8 mm, so you should discuss how improvement in the skin will address your concerns.
Have my implants bottomed out? 6 months post-op
Breast implants settle over time
Aug 23, 2023
Over time, the swelling of the pectoral muscle resolves and the implant settles as the capsule around the implant matures. It is difficult to assess whether your implants have bottomed out, but I would recommend discussing with your surgeon if the breast aesthetic does not meet your goals.
I was considering a skin only tummy tuck but wondering if this can fix the area above my belly butto
Doubtful!
Aug 23, 2023
Patients with loose skin around their belly button and a diastasis recti (widening of abdominal muscles) generally need a fully tummy tuck to see improvement in the quality of the abdominal contours. The skin-only tucks not only would likely not address the skin quality with any sort of durability, they also would not address the abdominal muscles.
Do hyaluronic based fillers affect the results of a facial fat transfer even after they are dissolve
Filler can leave scar tissue, depending on the injection technique
Aug 23, 2023
There are a few areas of the face where the I need to have filler dissolved prior to the surgical operation – rhinoplasty, bone-related upper or lower jaw surgery, lower eyelid operations, amongst others. With “soft tissue” operations, like a fat transfer, the filler is generally safe and can be worked around or removed. However given that filler resorbs over time, it creates a moving target. My recommendation would be to pursue the fat transfer first, assess the final outcome, and then…
Can I decide where to place fat when undergoing a breast fat transfer?
Discuss these details with your surgeon
Aug 22, 2023
Breast fat transfer is a common procedure performed by plastic surgeons for patients in your exact situation. The fat is generally used to augment the entirety of the breast, but specific focus on the medial breast for cleavage or upper pole of the breast (to fill out “deflation” of the breasts) are common requests from patients. I would recommend you voice your opinion to your plastic surgeon to highlight your areas of concern, and he or she can recommend whether this is the correct…
