Andrej Salibi, MD

Name: Andrej Salibi, MD
Statement: Mr Andrej Salibi is a fully qualified and accredited Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon. Having completed his basic surgical training in the West Midlands, he commenced his plastic surgery career training in some of the most renowned plastic surgery units across the UK including the world famous Canniesburn Plastic Surgery Unit in Glasgow and The Pulvertaft Centre in Derby where he undertook a research fellowship.

He then joined the North West Plastic Surgery Training Programme where he worked in a number of centres of excellence such as The Christie Hospital and The Manchester Centre for Plastic Surgery and Burns. During this time Mr Salibi has acquired a broad experience not only in general plastic surgery, but also in cosmetic surgery, undertaking a dedicated aesthetic training programme in private hospitals across Manchester, Liverpool, and Cheshire where he was mentored by some of the most renowned plastic surgeons in this field. In 2019, he was awarded a fellowship in plastic surgery from The Royal College of Surgeons of England before completing his training in 2020.

Mr Salibi undertook a number of specialist fellowships in both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. He was one of few plastic surgeons to be awarded a place on the highly prestigious British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS) aesthetic fellowship at the Cadogan Clinic in London where he refined his already established skills in cosmetic surgery working with internationally renowned cosmetic plastic surgeons. In addition, he has completed a highly specialist fellowship in upper limb reconstruction at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals to complement his passion for reconstruction in his NHS practice as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon.

His pursuit to develop his interest in aesthetic surgery has been rewarded when he completed a Master’s degree in aesthetic plastic surgery with distinction from Queen Mary University of London. His thesis includes a systematic review of the management of Tuberous breast deformity and a proposed treatment algorithm. With this background, Mr Salibi has developed a special interest in breast aesthetic surgery and body-contouring techniques. His other interests include prominent ear correction, rhinoplasty and surgical and non-surgical facial rejuvenation.

With a wealth of clinical experience together with a research background Mr Salibi presents nationally and internationally as well as contributing to the plastic surgery literature with over 30 publications and research articles. He is a recipient of multiple awards and prizes from the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH). His commitment to teaching and training the next generation of plastic surgeons is highlighted in his book, Secrets of Plastic Surgery ST3 Interviews, which was published to aid junior doctors in their pursuit for a plastic surgery career. He is also an organiser and a faculty member of a number of national courses. Mr Salibi has also taken up a number of leadership roles as an accredited British Medical Association (BMA) representative and BAAPS North West regional representative.

Answer Snippet
I had Botox 8 weeks ago and my eyelid skin is sagging. Is this from the Botox?
Botox
Feb 4, 2021
Hi, this may be ptosis of the brow or lid which is a known side effect from Botox. It may mean the dose or injection technique needs adjusting. Please consult a medical practitioner for a face to face assessment. Kind regards, Dr Ana. Kat & Co Aesthetics
How deep must Botox be injected for masseture reduction?
Botox
Feb 4, 2021
Hi, I prefer to inject the Botox deep in this area to ensure the full muscle is treated. Sometimes injecting too superficial will leave some of the masseter active in the deeper layers. Please consult a medical practitioner for a face to face assessment. Kind regards, Dr Ana. Kat & Co Aesthetics
Will Botox or filler stop my top lip curling inwards when I talk & help uneven lips?
Botox
Feb 4, 2021
Hi, the botox lip flip can help with this. You may also consider combining this with lip fillers to improve the overall concern. Please consult a medical practitioner for a face to face assessment. Kind regards, Dr Ana. Kat & Co Aesthetics
Can Botox and dermal filler be injected into the crow’s feet/temples?
Botox
Feb 4, 2021
Hi, Botox can certainly be combined safely with these procedures at the same session. I would suggest fillers followed by Botox. Please consult a medical practitioner for a face to face assessment. Kind regards, Dr Ana. Kat & Co Aesthetics
Is it possible to achieve horizontally elongated eyes with a slight lift through Botox?
Botox
Feb 4, 2021
Hi, Botox brow lifts can certainly achieve a mild to moderate similar effect in the first instance. If you require a more dramatic lift; fillers, threadlifts and surgery are other options. Please consult a medical practitioner for a face to face assessment. Kind regards, Dr Ana. Kat & Co Aesthetics
