Dr. Tornambe embarked on his surgical training with both a general surgery residency and hand surgery fellowship training at Cabrini Medical Center in New York City. He then pursued a plastic surgery residency at University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, followed by an additional fellowship in cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery with the renowned plastic surgeon Dr. G. Patrick Maxwell in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dr. Tornambe served as chief of the division of plastic surgery at Cabrini Medical Center in NYC for almost 20 years.

Board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Tornambe is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
