Is this prolapse? What can be done?
prolapse
Jun 1, 2021
As a gynecologist for 35 years, it looks normal. The anterior part of your vaginal wall (the urethra sits behind it) may be prolapsed slightly. As long as you are not leaking urine or having bulging with activity, it can be left alone 🙂
Is Hormone Replacement Therapy Good for PCOS?
PCOS
Jun 1, 2021
PCOS is a hormonal imbalance condition that is associated with irregular menstrual cycles, infertility, unwanted hair growth, weight gain, and risk of cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Many women do well on metformin (usually 1500-2000 mg daily is needed) and are able to lose weight more easily. Menstrual cycles and hormone imbalances can be controlled with oral contraceptive pills until you want to get pregnant – there are some that have lower androgen side effects. There are many…
Do you think I need 3 or 5 and is it worth it?
FemiLift
Jun 1, 2021
You should try at least 3 treatments to see how your body responds. Maximum results are usually seen at 4-6 months. Wait until then to see if you want to have additional treatments. I recommend coming back for additional touch up (single) treatments if you had good results and feel like the effect is reversing. In my experience, this may occur at 6-12 months. The lasers are felt to tighten ~20-25% and may women feel this is enough and want to avoid the expense and risks of surgery.
Am I a candidate for FemiLift? I am 23 years old and am insecure about my inner labia.
Labial Hypertrophy
Apr 12, 2019
If you have recurrent trauma from elongated lavish – with exercise, during sex, etc – sometimes a surgery to correct this (labiaplasty) will be covered by insurance. Not all general gynecologists are able to perform this procedure and plastic surgeons may not be able to get it covered for you. There is no current laser procedure that will shrink inner labia to avoid recurrent trauma. You may need to see more than one doctor to get the answers you are looking for – urogyn, gyn or plastic…
Will vaginoplasty, surgical tightening of the vaginal canal cure urinary incontinence?
Urinary Incontinence
Apr 7, 2019
There are many causes for loss of urine – it sounds like you have urge incontinence. You need a good medical evaluation to rule out bladder infection, diabetes, triggers (such as caffeine, etc). You may also have mixed incontinence – a combination of stress and urge incontinence. The vaginal lasers are NOT first line treatments for bladder symptoms. You should start with your gynecologist or primary provider. Urogynecologist is next in line. It’s a bonus if t…
Does femilift work for women in their 50’s and in menopause?
Best age for Femilift
Apr 4, 2019
Healthier tissue will respond to laser treatments faster – in the case of the vagina, probably within the first few years of menopause – but there are other modalities that can be used to ‘prime’ or prepare the vaginal tissue so the laser works. Having severe symptoms should not dissuade anyone from seeking solutions for vaginal health. That is why it is important to choose a physician who is knowledgable about all the ways to prevent vaginal aging. …
Will a tear will heal on its own after FemiLift with Alma Laser?
Bleeding after Femilift
Apr 4, 2019
I agree that you should be evaluated for this bleeding. It is very important for anyone else reading these answers that the procedure is performed by someone who has the background to recognize any complication and can treat those that occur. Bleeding and burns have been reported after vaginal laser procedures which prompted the FDA to issue warnings about vaginal laser devices currently in use. …
