Botox and Restylane are frequently used together for very deep lines because they address the lines in two very different ways. Botox relaxes the muscles that actually cause the line, and Restylane fills in the line. What you are describing regarding the eye pain actually sounds like a eye surface problem like dry eyes. Intermittent, sharp pain is typical of dry eyes.
