Dr. Goldman earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where he stayed on to complete his internship in Surgery, followed by a residency in Otolaryngology. From there, Dr. Goldman headed to the University Hospitals of Cleveland and Case Western Reserve School of Medicine in Ohio to complete a residency in Plastic Surgery. He served as the hospital’s interim Chief of Plastic Surgery until 2006, when he left to launch his own practice.

Board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Goldman is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Goldman is highly regarded in the plastic surgery community and has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the Top Doc award from Northern Ohio Live Magazine.

Uneven breasts and back rolls, what are my options?

Your back rolls can be treated with liposuction. It's important to release the deep creases between the rolls with liposuction (we refer to this as lipodissection). This most likely would not completely eliminate the rolls, but would reduce them nicely. Cutting out the rolls (called a back panniculectomy) is not needed; the scar would outweigh the benefit. One option to consider for the breasts would be a vertical reduction on the left (the larger side), combined with implants on both sides....

We've had very high satisfaction rates with Miradry in our patients. About 2/3 do two treatments. Patients with excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) or normal but bothersome sweating can use Miradry. Laser hair removal does not interfere with Miradry (although Miradry can result in some hair reduction along with sweat reduction). Our nurses or estheticians can use a starch iodine test to identify sweat glands if needed. Miradry is perform under local anesthesia in the office. Good luck.

Although closed rhinoplasty can be useful and some surgeons only use this technique, open rhinoplasty is considered by some to be more powerful and is used more commonly when tip refinement is needed.
Also, be thorough when considering options for esthetic changes. Based on your pictures, consider narrowing the tip, deprojection (bringing the tip in toward the face), and lowering of the bridge.

Based on your pictures, an open rhinoplasty would likely be beneficial to narrow and refine your tip. Conservative trimming of the cartilage, tip sutures, a stabilizing graft (called a septal extension graft), and possibly a tip graft would likely be useful. Common maneuvers used to correct prominent ears include reconstructing the natural folds in the ear cartilage, reducing excess cartilage in the bowl area (the concha) of the ear, bringing the ear closer to the head, and reducing the size of the ear lobe.
