Are chin lipo and submentoplasty the same procedure?
Neck Lipo Can’t Remove Deep Fat
Jan 7, 2021
Many times, superficial liposuction of the chin or neck region can yield a very nice outcome with an improved jawline and profile. However, it’s not a fix all. If the anatomy is such that there is fat deep to the muscles of the neck, it can’t be suctioned, but it can be removed. Typically a 3 cm incision is made in or near the chin crease. The neck muscles are divided, and the deep fat is removed under direct vision of the surgeon. The muscle is then repaired, or sometimes tightened,…
Is Abdominal etching possible with the amount of body fat I have?
Adominal Etching Requires NO Special Technology
Oct 28, 2019
First, yes you are a very good candidate.Second, we all have our own bag of tricks – some use Vaser, some J-Plasma, some Smartlipo – but the result of your etching is truly in the hands of the surgeon – NOT THE TECHNOLOGY!Please be careful about who is marketing and who is giving you real answers.  You should get a nice result if you go to someone who does good work.Good Luck!
Belkyra/Kybella Treatment – Permanent Damage? How can I look how I did before?
Kybella Results
Aug 22, 2019
We were all so excited to get Kybella a few years ago.  Now I have a drawer full of it that I won’t use on any patients because I’m afraid it will ruin my reputation.  Sorry for your experience.I have performed chin liposuction on many patients who were disappointed with their Kybella injections (performed elsewhere).  I think it’s your best chance for a nice outcome.  In my hands, I like to use laser energy (Smartlipo) to help break down some of the scar tissue that the Kybella creates.  I …
Is cheek liposuction dangerous???
Cheek Liposuction Perfectly Safe
Jul 19, 2019
I perform Cheek Liposuction in my Manhattan office several times each week and find it to be quite safe and very effective.  In fact, I use it because of my frustration with the subtle outcomes I’ve gotten using buccal fat removal alone.  For my patients with truly chubby cheeks I sometimes do both procedures.  Combined with chin and neck liposuction, we can create a very elegant facial structure.  I invite you to check out my blog (attached).Good Luck!
My lower lip isn’t the same after chin and jaw lipo, help! – is this or can it be permanent?
Lower Lip Uneven After Chin Liposuction
May 9, 2019
This lower lip problem may be due to an injury to the marginal mandibular branch of the facial nerve, BUT these types of problems are almost always temporary when caused by liposuction.  Give it some time and I have some confidence there will be a full recovery – within 6 weeks.  The injury is sometimes described as a “bruise on the nerve”.  It is likely to take some time, but I trust you will be fine.  I would LOVE to see a follow up report in a month or so.Hang in there!
