What is breast augmentation and lift surgery?

During your consult you would get an examination and photos. These photos are used to perform a 3D imaging of your breast augmentations to help you decide.

We also have sizers in the office try. Make sure that you are comfortable with your surgeon and their staff. (Robert Whitfield, MD, FACS, Austin Plastic Surgeon)

You are a good candidate for augmentation based on what the photos demonstrate. A good clinical exam and consult with a board certified plastic surgeon is recommended.

Make sure you get a detailed consult and get a chance to review before and after photos with your doctor. I find sharing photos with patients and discussing the results is very helpful. (Steven M. Camp, MD, Fort Worth Plastic Surgeon)

I was thinking about breast augmentations. Would I also need a breat lift?

Your nipples are nicely about the fold below your breast, so a lift would not be necessary. Adding volume with a submuscular implant, either saline or silicone gel, will give you a very nice result. (Linda Swanson, MD, Los Angeles Plastic Surgeon)

You are a good candidate for breast augmentation with silicone gel implants. I would recommend peri-areolar incision-submuscular. Seek an experienced Board Certified PS with years of experience, look at their “Before” and “After” photos. (Thomas Trevisani, Sr., MD, Orlando Plastic Surgeon)

Without examining you, it is impossible to say you don’t need a lift. However, just based on the photos you selected, you probably don’t need a lift. I recommend meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon and discussing your concerns. (Connie Hiers, MD, San Antonio Plastic Surgeon)

It appears as you are a great candidate for an augmentation ONLY. Best to see a few boarded PSS in your city. (Darryl J. Blinski, MD, Miami Plastic Surgeon)

When patients have a consultation in my office I discuss their goals and the best way to achieve them. You have several options including a breast implant alone or an implant with a lift. Measurements taken, a full discussion of scars and size must take place prior to your decision on how to proceed. (Frank J. Ferraro, MD, Paramus Plastic Surgeon)

It appears that you have a minor asymmetry of your breasts which is normal. Based on the photos alone, you look like you may be a good candidate for breast augmentations alone. Your nipples look like they are above you breast fold and thus do not need a breast lift. The only way to know this for sure, is to see a plastic surgeon in person for an examination and discussion about which type of breast augmentations is best for you. (Luis H. Macias, MD, Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon)

There is an asymmetry but no one has mirror image breasts. I think you are a great candidate for a dual plane augmentation with silicone gel implants. The actual size of implants would be determined at the time of your exam based on your measurements and desired size. Hopefully you will find a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in your area who you feel comfortable with. (M. Scott Haydon, MD, Austin Plastic Surgeon)

You have asymmetry in terms of volume and shape. Different implants could be placed to help this. You would need to consult and be sized at a consultation and be taken through the option of lifting the breast and the scars required butI think you would get a good result with breast augmentations only. You may have to accept some asymmetry and you need to consult with a PS that can show you examples of patients similar to you so that you can make an informed decision of how to proceed. (Gary L. Ross, MBChB, FRCS, Manchester Plastic Surgeon)

It does not appear that you need a lift and would do well with an augmentation alone. (Zach Barnes, MD, Bakersfield Plastic Surgeon)

You should be an ideal candidate for a dual plane breast augmentations which replaced the implant beneath your chest muscle. If however the small amount of asymmetry that you have bothers you and you wish it corrected you might need a very small lift on the lower sided breast.

You look like you would do very well with a breast augmentation. Lifts are usually discussed when a patient’s nipples fall at or below the level of the crease under the breast. Yours are at a good level. (Scott W. Vann, MD, FACS, Savannah Plastic Surgeon)

Although a physical exam is needed to make any formal recommendations, based on your photos, it appears that you are likely an excellent candidate for breast augmentation. I would recommend a breast augmentation with silicone gel implants with a dual plane technique.

Breast augmentations need lift or not

On one of your frontal photos, it appears your left breast may be sitting lower than your right but it appears your left shoulder is lower (but it could be the way you are standing or it could be due to some baseline scoliosis you may have). Based on the other photos, I do not think you will need a lift. Please schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to learn more about your options.  (C. Bob Basu, MD, FACS, Houston Plastic Surgeon)

It is impossible to say for sure without a physical exam, but it looks like from your photos that you would have a great result from a breast augmentation alone. (Erika Sato, MD, Houston Plastic Surgeon)

You should have a great result from just a breast augmentation. I don’t believe a lift is necessary in your situation. (Shim Ching, MD, Honolulu Plastic Surgeon)
