How to find the best plastic surgeon for you
This is a very common question. There are so many physicians out there claiming to be experts in cosmetic surgery that it can be very hard to discern the qualified individuals from the poseurs.

This may be easy or hard depending on where you live. First, I recommend finding board certified plastic surgeons near your area. This can be done by visiting the American Society of Plastic Surgeons web-site (www.plasticsurgery.org) and doing a search.
If you live in a large metropolitan area, many surgeons have informative web-site with many before and after photos.
You can narrow your search further by the quality of work. The consultation is critical to ensure you and the surgeon are “compatible”.
If before and after photos were not posted on the internet, make sure you see photos in the office. It is important you like the surgeon’s work (Michael A. Jazayeri, MD, Santa Ana Plastic Surgeon)
A board certified plastic surgeon is a good beginning and probably one of the first most important steps. Many resources are available & one excellent source is www.plasticsurgery.org. How to find the best surgeon is a difficult question to answer and there is no simple directions for this. You must do alot of homework.
It requires relationship building and establishing trust. Personality match between physician and surgeon is a cri tical in addition to training, experience and technical skills. Despite optimal conditions, not all aspects of this surgery can be controlled with 100% certainty. (Otto Joseph Placik, MD, Chicago Plastic Surgeon)

Finding the best breast augmentation doctors
To find the “best” surgeon to perform your Breast Augmentation I would suggest you begin by going to the American Society of Plastic Surgery web site to find board-certified plastic surgeons in your area. “Best” to me refers to attention to detail, experience, and safety. Some of the considerations that I think are important are:
- Proper training (choose a board certified plastic surgeon)
- Proper Experience – is Breast Enhancement Surgery a significant part of the surgeons practice. Not all plastic surgeons do the same spectrum of procedures.
- Safety – this relates back to sufficient training and experience. Safety issue, also relates to where the procedure is performed. Particularly if performed as an office procedure – does the surgery occur in an accredited facility. AAAASF is a governing body that most plastic surgeons use to verify that their operative facility has satisfied these requirements.
- See before and after pictures, ask to see if actual patient testimonials are available. (Sergio P. Maggi, MD, Austin Plastic Surgeon)
