Statement: Dr. Kaveh Alizadeh is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is the current Professor of Clinical Surgery of New York Medical College, and the former Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Westchester Medical Center.

From 2007 to 2013, Dr. Alizadeh served as the president of the largest and oldest plastic surgery center in North America, and in 2014, he opened his own private practice with a vision towards the future. He has served as the president of the New York Regional Society of Plastic Surgeons and was also elected as the president of the New York State Society of Plastic Surgeons where he has served on the board of trustees.

He is credited with developing a new breast-lift technique, NaturaBra™, as well as “progressive” eyelid-lift and abdominoplasty techniques. Since 2005, he has been recognized as a Top Doctor by Consumer Research Council, and since 2010, a Castle Connolly Top Doctor. Dr. Alizadeh has also received national recognition as a Top Doctor by U.S. News and World Report.

Thanks for your question! While it’s hard to say without examining you, the “bumps” your referring to are likely due to you having large corrugator muscles (“frowning” muscles), although there may be a bony (skull) component to it as well. If the bulk of the “bump” is being made up by the corrugator muscle then Botox treatments will help atrophy or shrink the muscles over time, causing them to soften and flatten slightly. Hi Nikki, thank you for your question. Botox in the masseters can be highly effective in achieving a more slim or tapered face. Because the masseter is a larger muscle than say the muscles in the forehead or around the eyes, it usually requires higher doses than what is typically used for cosmetic injections elsewhere in the face.
