Thank you for your question. Nipple asymmetry is actually fairly common. The breast augmentation does not do anything to even that out. Implants only add volume. The nipple difference you had prior to surgery you will continue to have after. True you are early in the healing process but in my experience this will not change as the healing continues. Thank you for a very good question. Judging by the photo you appear to have a slight asymmetry and in my opinion you would not benefit from two different implants. I would recommend silicone gel implants. In some cases two different sized implants can introduce another asymmetry not present naturally. There is usually some difference from one side to the other.

In my opinion it would not be safe to proceed with elective cosmetic surgery while you are on any type of blood thinner. You should see the doctor who prescribed the blood thinner to see when and if it is possible for you to stop the blood thinner around the time of the surgery. Best of luck.

I try to keep maximum operative times at about 5 hours. In my practice I would divide your procedures. I would have you see a hematologist with regard to the Factor V Leiden issue. I'm sure most plastic surgeons including myself would have you stop any nicotine for at least 3-4 four weeks prior to your surgery and for 3-4 weeks after. There may be a reason you are anxious about the procedure.

At 5 weeks it's a little too soon to comment on the final results. Different surgeons have different protocols with regard to what type of bra to place patients and after surgery. Personally, I placed every breast augmentation and an underwire bra at the time of surgery and encouraged them to continue to wear that for the first several weeks after the surgery. It is very difficult to predict cup size based on the size of the implant because the same sized implant in different patients with different sized breasts will yield different results. Thank you for your question. Judging by the photographs it appears as though you have a periareolar scar from a previous operation which would account for the irregularity in that location. If this concerns you that could be revised with another periareolar mastopexy and at the same time, if you are looking for more fullness of breast augmentation could be performed with silicone gel implants.
