Dr. Rosenfield earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati before completing his OB-GYN internship at the University of New Mexico and his OB-GYN residency at Stanford University. Passionate about continuing education and furthering his expertise, Dr. Rosenfield has received advanced laparoscopic training so that he can stay at the forefront of progress in minimally invasive surgical procedures.

Dr. Rosenfield has given lectures at conferences locally, nationally, and abroad on a variety of topics in his field, including healthcare, patient recovery from surgery, the outpatient approach to hysterectomy surgery, and more. Board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, he is recognized as a pioneer of gynecologic surgical techniques, and has been named a Top Doctor in Portland, Oregon.

After moving to Portland in 2000, Dr. Rosenfield fell in love with the Pacific Northwest and is an active member of his local community. Answer Snippet
Can I get a vaginoplasty if I haven't had kids?
exam is important
Jan 27, 2022
We see patients with complaints such as this, and the short answer is YES, surgery is possible. The question is whether there is another option to help that might be less invasive or traumatic, such as pelvic floor physical therapy, use of vaginal weights, or consideration of Viveve.
Bladder sling or vaginoplasty?
SLING is still the standard
Feb 7, 2021
Slings, when placed correctly, are very safe.In fact, there are "mini-slings" that are rather small and easier to remove in the rare circumstance of an issue with the mesh. While other operations are available, we find the slings to be easy to place, safe, and highly effective. You might also consider Viveve.Vaginoplasty tightens the vagina and will not fix your leakage.Good Luck!Dr R
What is the recommended plan for mild prolapse bladder and urinary incontinence?
ok for both
Feb 7, 2021
You might consider seeing a UroGynecologic Specialist for another opinion. These procedures can absolutely be performed in one surgical episode.I would recommend considering urodynamic testing to accurately define the leakage issue, as placing a sling will not help urgency.Slings are for SUI, stress incontinence. And tightening can be accomplished with Viveve or Vaginoplasty.Best of Luck!Dr R
Is there anything I can do prior and or after to maximize the O-Shot results?
Stimulation
Feb 7, 2021
The O SHOT uses PRP, Platelet Rich Plasma, rich in growth factors. This concentrated plasma is injected into a couple of key areas along the vaginal wall and clitoral shaft.Stimulating these areas will help mobilize the PRP and allow it to begin to work, allowing for remodeling of the tissues in these areas. While not mandatory, stimulation of these areas with a vibrating device seems to accelerate the effects in many of our patients.Good Luck!Dr R
What can I do for labia veins?
Phlebectomy
Jan 27, 2021
Those vessels themselves can be ligated or removed.Usually this can be done in the office.Best to see a Gyn doctor who also is familiar with varicose vein management.Good Luck!Dr R
Is it okay to combine labiaplasty with a robotic myomectomy?
Cost might be the issue
Jan 27, 2021
You might be asking for a prolonged anesthesia situation-but the most significant issue will be cost and charges from the hospital as there are few outpatient centers with a robot. Most likely the cost of the additional procedure could be an issue.Yes the recovery would also be a bit more challenging.Great your are seeing a MIGS surgeon tho!Best of LuckDR R
Would a perineoplasty help my situation?
consider PRP
Jan 27, 2021
For point tenderness with intercourse, most important part will be careful diagnosis, as sometimes repairs need to be revised.HOWEVER, PRP "O shot" can be injected into the tender area with excellent results and no need for surgery if a credentialed physician with proper training can identify the source of the discomfort.Best of Luck!Dr R
