I always recommend at least doing the lower back/love handle area as a minimum, after that , the abdomen is a very common region to also harvest fat from. Compression, especially right after surgery, is very helpful in minimizing bruising and swelling. You may want to ask your surgeon about this. Most of the time, prolonged compression of the chin and neck area is not practical, and therefore the amount of time that compression is worn is planned to be shorter than other parts of the body where it is easy to hide the compression. However, that does not mean that immediate compression is not useful.

It is difficult to do laser liposuction in the abdomen if a lap band port is present. You would have to stay away from that area, and this would result in an uneven appearance.
