Do all doctors who do a fat transfer to the face end up with complications?
Risks
Jan 21, 2020
Hi and thanks for your question. For sure, the best docs can end up with complications. I perform many face lifts, and in most, I usually transfer fat into some part of their face. Fortunately, I do not see many complications and patients are extremely happy with the results.

Experienced or not
Jan 21, 2020
Hi and thanks for your question. The best way to evaluate a surgeon is to look at results of the procedures they perform. She should be able to provide you before and after photos to help you feel more confident and make the right decision.Best of Luck!
Is the downtime 2-3 weeks if you were to have a tummy tuck without muscle repair?
Recovery
Jan 21, 2020
Hi and thanks for your question. I always tell my female patients that have had children that they will benefit from a tummy tuck with muscle repair.  Yes, you likely would recover a bit quicker without the muscle repair, but  considering you are already undergoing the surgery, two weeks is usually what I tell my patients to anticipate. They can typically resume work, normal activities in two weeks and at three weeks, I let them go back to doing cardio type exercise. In the end, it is your...
Would you recommend lipo 360 or tt with lipo?
TT vs Lipo
Jan 21, 2020
Hi and thanks for your question. Based on your photos, I would suggest a tummy tuck given the excess skin and bit of hang you have to your lower abdomen. Considering that you are a mommy also, would give to belief you absolutely will benefit from the muscle tightening that is done with a abdominoplasty. Of course consult with a board certified plastic surgeon so that you can be properly examined before making a final decision. Best,
Should I get a normal TT or FDL?
FDL or not
Sep 27, 2019
Hi and thanks for your question. Based on your photos, it does not appear that you need an FDL. However, even when I think a person may be a candidate for an FDL, I usually advise them to wait and proceed with a TT and then see what the results look like. I feel that you can get your tummy tighter doing these in two separate surgeries and many times after a typical TT, one's skin looks good enough that they do not need to get an FDL. Hope this information helps. Best of Luck!

TT candidate
Jun 12, 2019
Hi and congrats on your weight loss. I would suggest meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon so that you can be examined. Often times, people are still good candidates for a tummy tuck without being at their ideal BMI. I do not think a panniculectomy is ideal for most people simply because the aesthetics of just a panniculectomy is not what most people desire. I hope this information helps. Best,
When to remove belly button sutures after a tummy tuck? It may be infected
Belly button
May 29, 2019
Hi and thanks for your question. This is not uncommon and as your surgeon advised, it it better to leave it in longer and wait for it to completely heal. It does not look infected and this happens on occasion. Be patient. Best,
Is scar cream recommend after a TT?
scar treatment
May 24, 2019
I recommend waiting several weeks before applying any type of scar treatment or cream to your incision sites. I advise my patients to use silicone strips or a silicone based cream / gel like Biocornium. The strips are similar to a band aid and you just apply them directly to the incision and wear them continuously. Congratulations on your surgery. Best,
Is it possible my surgeon may have inserted a smaller breast implant without my knowledge? I can sti
Smaller implant
May 7, 2019
Hi and thanks for your question. It seem highly unlikely that your surgeon would put in a smaller implant, and honestly you look more in the small C range based on your photos. Often my patients tell me that when they go in for actual sizing, it never seems to be the same with different bras. Your surgeon should have given you the implant information after your surgery, and if your questioning it, I would suggest you follow up. Remember your only 2 weeks out and things still need to settle, ...
3 days post op I have pain and redness on the left incision. Is this normal?
3 days post op
May 7, 2019
Hi and congratulations on your recent surgery. Yes, this can be absolutely normal, and redness and more pain on on side is common. With that said, I do agree with the others that it is always better to be seen in person and to check in with your surgeon. Best,
I am 6 weeks post op for breast augmentation and I am stressing about CC. Is this normal?
Normal
Apr 26, 2019
Hi and congratulations on your recent surgery. I would advise you to be patient as this can be normal this early after surgery. Breasts are different from each other, therefore the way the implants sits and settles can be not identical. Several months from now, things should feel more symmetrical. Best,

Post TT
Apr 5, 2019
Hi and thanks for your question.  Surgeons have different post op protocols, but I allow my patients to go back to full exercise and activities after 6 weeks. You may feel some weakness initially after resuming activities in your core, but that will resolve with time. Best,
Does it look like it’s achievable to have my scar placed low?
Placement of scar
Apr 4, 2019
Hi and thanks for your question. I do the incision very low and believe that is most people's preference. However, I do know that this is a surgeon's choice and some prefer to make it higher. I would just suggest that when you consult with your surgeon, you make sure he is experienced and board certified and discuss the placement of the incision during that time. Good Luck!
fleur-de-lis abdominoplasty vs traditional? Which would give me the best results?
No FDL
Mar 14, 2019
I have to agree with everyone else. You certainly don't appear to have enough excess upper abdominal skin to warrant a FDL. A standard abdominoplasty would be appropriate. Make sure that you are consulting with an experienced board certified plastic surgeon. Best of Luck!
Can anyone reassure me? Feeling very sad :( 16 days post I still feel rubbish, tired and tearful
post op blues
Mar 14, 2019
Hi and thanks for your question. I would say that it is not uncommon to feel extremely fatigued and emotional after surgery. Being uncomfortable and swollen is normal at this point. But given the mention of an infection and taking antibiotics, this can be contributing to you not feeling well. I would insist on seeing your surgeon so that you can be reassured. Best,
