I cannot speak to the cost difference in your location, but in my practice these procedures are used to address similar but different areas of concern are not interchangeable. I would recommend having an in person consultation with someone familiar and experienced with both procedures.

In my practice it is possible to perform muscle repair after removal of a submuscular implant. The success of this depends on a variety of factors including the size of the implant removed, health of the muscle, the degree of muscle release performed at the time of surgery (the pectoralis muscle is rarely if ever “fully released”), and the degree of scarring around the implant.

Thank you for your question. Your degree of facial asymmetry is does not appear significantly noticeable in your pictures. Additionally, facelift surgery tends to decrease the elasticity of skin. I would not recommend a face lift, mini or otherwise.

This is an excellent question and one that is being actively studied. Fat grafting can be performed in individuals with insulin resistance safely, but the effect of insulin resistance on results is not well understood. Factors such as surgical technique and handling of the fat graft play a more substantial role in quality of your results so I recommend finding a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in the procedure and having a full discussion.

There are many factors that increase the likelihood of an issue when undergoing an abdominoplasty, including a previous incision such as yours. However, it is possible that you can still undergo abdominoplasty with a low risk of complication. I’d recommend scheduling an in person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. It is always useful to bring the operative note from your previous abdominal procedures with you to this appointment.

Liposuction can be performed safely in patients with a variety of heart conditions including a “heart murmur”. However, safety depends on a variety of factors including nature of the heart condition, amount of liposuction, and type of anesthesia. A full assessment of the safety and risk of a procedure requires a conversation between the person managing your heart murmur, plastic surgeon and anesthesiologist.

The first thing I would recommend is speaking to a a board certified plastic surgeon in person about your goals and concerns. Weight loss after bariatric surgery affects every persons body differently. Without knowing more about your history I will say that the “donut” lift with fat grafting will provide an extremely modest improvement.
