The short answer to your question is “ Yes, you will be both a D and a DD.”Bra manufacturers do not standardize their cups sizes. So you could be a C in one and a D or DD in another.  In fact, a 34DD is typically the same cup size if you line them up as a 36D in the same manufacturer !! In specific circumstances, breast implant exchange can be done under local.   It depends on your plastic surgeon as well as reasons for exchange.  Capsule removal cannot usually be done under local, but a simple implant exchange with moderate change in size often works well.  Please see a board certified plastic surgeon in your area- or a few.  Look for patients that look like you in their before and afters.  Best of luck!

I believe focusing on the difference between 375 and 400 is getting too granular.  15cc is equivalent to one tablespoon!! There is a reason silicone come set sizes and jump by 25-50cc between implants. I agree it looks as if there is some degree of capsular contracture with your breasts.  Whether or not that means the capsule is thick and going to be palpable or visible on a mammogram after the implants are removed is a clinical judgement, meaning maybe we can tell on exam but sometimes we actually need to remove the implant to know for sure!  While implants alone can sometimes be removed under local anesthetic, a capsulectomy usually requires a general anesthetic. I hope this helps!
