Is 350cc silicone breast implants cup size right for me?
Choosing Implant Sizes
There are many factors that go into choosing the right size. If you have 3 other women with your same height and weight, the chances are pretty good that you will each end up choosing different implants.
But when you are down to two sizes with a difference of 25cc, there is a minimal change between them.
To put it in perspective, the difference is less than a shot glass! As long as your surgeon makes the implant pocket of adequate size, your breasts will look great. (Gabriel Chiu, DO, Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon)
The difference between the two sizes is very small, you should have another discussion about this with your surgeon.
I have my patients do the rice test which helps them visualize how they will look. (Miguel Delgado, MD, San Francisco Plastic Surgeon)
There are a lot of decisions to make when choosing to undergo breast augmentation surgery. Sometimes one of the most difficult choice is implant size. Since you have concerns about the 375cc implant vs the 350cc, I recommend asking your plastic surgeon about the reason for the upsizing. I’m sure there is a reasonable explanation. (Gregory Park, MD, San Diego Plastic Surgeon)
Breast Implants Volume
The difference between 350cc and 375cc is minimal, it is only 7%, so if they are the same profile the result will be almost the same, but if they are different in profile, like one medium profile and the other high profile, then the results will be completely different.
Just talk with your Plastic Surgeon again about the differences, so you can take a better decision. (Juan Carlos Fuentes, MD, Mexico Plastic Surgeon)
Breast implant sizing
One of the key elements in success with breast augmentation surgery is detailed planning. This is done with the guidance of a board certified plastic surgeon. In general many patients have a range of implant sizes that will be reasonable and 25 cc differences make a subtle difference. I always recommend that my patients take the time they need to feel comfortable with their choice. Visit with your surgeon again if necessary, and I am sure you will do great. (Steven M. Camp, MD, Fort Worth Plastic Surgeon)
Go with the bigger one.
The difference between 350 and 375 is insignificant. Go with the bigger implant so that you’ll have the peace of mind knowing you went bigger and won’t regret not going bigger as most women do. (Martin Jugenburg, MD, Toronto Plastic Surgeon)
Breast Implant Sizing Questions
As others have mentioned, there is little difference in 25 cc, especially in larger implants. The words ‘natural’ and ‘perky’ are subjective, and could mean many different things to many people. If you feel that an implant is too big for you, you’re probably right. There are better ways of communicating your aesthetic goal to your surgeon, including showing photos of models/celebrities, preferably full body with clothing on, or using sizers in your bra to create an appearance you would like to see in yourself. So as you can see, we are limited as on line experts to give you any meaningful advice regarding your aesthetic goal.
The other more important issue that should be addressed is the concept of an optimally sized implant, based on key measurements of your breast and chest. This ‘dimensional planning’ (along with cautery based surgical techniques and a ‘no touch’ implant delivery system) has repeatedly shown to minimize post operative complications and reoperation rates, and decreased recovery time and discomfort.
More often than not, the implant size determined from pictures (your aesthetic goal) is larger than the implant size derived from body measurements. It is then up to the surgeon to give you his expert advice to help you make the ultimate choice.
This decision process is not so quick and random, as you can see. Maybe you should have a few more consults to see if you get a different number or vibe from the other doctors. (Gerald Minniti, MD, FACS, Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon)
350cc breast implants or 375
A 25cc difference will not change the projection much and it will not place you into a larger cup. I think discussing it with your surgeon is very important before the big day though. (Julio Garcia, MD, Las Vegas Plastic Surgeon)
