Doctors
Dr. Zoumaras is known throughout Australia as a having expertise in Facelift, having operated on celebrities, dignitaries, and scores of wonderful patients from all walks of life and all over the world.
Patients seek out Dr. Zoumaras’ practice, Artiste Plastic Surgery, for his expertise and skill performing deep plane facelifts, mini facelifts, and neck lifts (also known as a rhytidectomy), as well as rhinoplasties and eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty).
“I love facial aesthetics. I always wanted to be a doctor to help people, and surgery was my calling,” says Dr. Zoumaras. “Once I was exposed to plastic surgery as a student at Columbia in New York, I fell in love with the specialty’s variety, the cosmetic and reconstructive efforts, and the fact that you empowered people.”
Dr. Zoumaras enjoys the challenge that comes with operating on the face—and seeing the joy and confidence in his patients once they’ve seen their results.
Born and raised in Adelaide, Australia, Dr. Zoumaras is the youngest of five children. His involvement in the care of his intellectually delayed elder sister is what inspired Dr. Zoumaras, at a very young age, to want to become a doctor.
Dr. Zoumaras earned his medical degree from the Flinders University of South Australia, and he holds Australia’s only formal qualification in cosmetic surgery: he is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
After completing this training and performing over 5,000 procedures, Dr. Zoumaras furthered his skills in cosmetic surgery by completing fellowships at some of the most prestigious medical institutions in Australia, Europe, and the United States. These include an aesthetic fellowship at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City and a fellowship in aesthetics and ear reconstruction at Paris, France’s Clinic Bizet.
Though Dr. Zoumaras keeps busy maintaining his thriving private practice, he shares his knowledge with the future generation of doctors as a senior lecturer, teaching plastic surgery registrars at the University of Sydney and the University of Wollongong.
He is a member of the International Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the Australian Society for Plastic Surgeons, and the chairman for the New South Wales chapter. He is also frequently called upon for his expertise by the media, including Vogue Australia.
At home, Dr. Zoumaras enjoys spending time with his wife, Maria (the managing director of Artiste Plastic Surgery) and their son, Nikolas.
Dr Punj has completed two Subspecialty Fellowships after completing his Plastic Surgery Training and Medical School in Adelaide, South Australia.

Just speak to your surgeon about…

I would say the photos you uploaded on demonstrate you are healing quickly and you should be okay to perform in mid June. I would premise this with the type of neck lift revision you had. If you had a full neck lift with muscle and gland work I would not allow you to sing for 8-9 weeks.
