But if you're just planning ahead, and thinking about doing a tummy tuck now, then there shouldn't be any contraindications to do that now and then undergo a J-pouch in the future. Don't be too concerned about the diastasis...

For any of my patients who present with concern of a ruptured silicone implant, I would first do a physical exam. Sometimes (depending on how large of an implant and how much natural breast tissue a patient has), you can feel the borders of the implant. If based on physical exam, I was concerned that an implant was...

I think your concerns are valid. Its somewhat difficult to see from the picture, but there appears to be a small dehiscence of your wound. I agree that it is prudent for your surgeon to evaluate you and help guide you on how you should treat this wound.
If it is a small dehiscence or wound, then local wound care is all that is needed, which means keeping that wound clean, placing gauze or even packing the wound. The wound will heal by itself...

When a surgeon is removing implants for capsular contracture, that surgeon should also excise the capsule (which is normal scar tissue that is formed surrounding the implant). Sometimes a surgeon may even leave in drains because after...

This is a great question that you will get a vast range of opinions about. There's probably no clear data or study that has shown improvement with the use of abdominal binders or pressure garments, nor the suggested duration of its use. This is where plastic surgery becomes more of an art than science and a lot of the suggested use or duration is probably anecdotal.
Those surgeons who promote their use were probably trained to do so or felt through their...

Considering that you are now 7 months post-op, this may need more aggressive treatment than simply packing of the wound. This could represent a sinus tract due to an initial aggravating factor such as infection, inflammation, retained suture. The concern would be that this opening has epitheliazed and may be difficult to heal without excision or debridement.
I would suggest visiting your surgeon again for a full evaluation. Treatment may include...

Although the risk of a DVT/PE or Fat embolus is relatively rare, these complications are extremely important to discuss with your plastic surgeon. In general, the risk of PE/DVT with an abominoplasty (tummy tuck) alone is about 0.5% (as outlined in a 2015 article in Plastic an Reconstructive Surgery Journal). With the addition of liposuction that risk increases to 1.1%. But that was for all patients, male/female, different BMI, different ages, etc...
