After each treatment, you must wait 48 hours prior to taking a bath or getting into the pool. However, if you have an external treatment (which most of us do at the same time), then it is best to wait a week to let that fragile skin heal.

I can understand your concerns! You would be a great candidate for a Thermiva procedure. This procedure has a smaller probe that can be lubricated (the MonaLisa Touch probe has to be inserted dry). It will restore your vaginal walls and lubrication. It can also be directed onto the clitoris to improve the bloodflow and sensitivity there.

Yes, the MonaLisa Touch fractional laser treatment will restore the vaginal epithelial wall and in turn create the proper environment for lactobacillus. Lactobacillus is the healthy flora of the vagina that creates the acidic pH that keeps away other vaginal infections, like yeast infections. Evidence has shown that the vaginal pH does change to a healthier level after treatment.

Hello,If you only have internal treatment, you can have sex comfortable two days after treatment.  If you have external treatment as well, you need to wait 1 week.

Hi SidneyD,In my personal experience with MonaLisa Touch I have seen numerous patients who had improvement in their bladder symptoms.    It is not indicated for the bladder problem alone; however, if you have urogenital atrophy as well, then it is indicated and you may have improvement.   The CO2 fractional laser therapy improves the integrity of the vaginal walls and helps the urinary tract health as well.   Warm regards.

Dear dbakerhmb,The fractional laser technique is standardized and taught the same way to each doctor.  There are subtle modifications that you make as you work more with it that can slightly improve outcomes.   I think it is important to have a physician who is a pelvic expert who is able to recognize if you are a good candidate and be able to handle any potential complications (which are rare).  Warm regards.
