Hello Girlybabe,  Antibiotics don't always prevent colonization or infection when foreign bodies (implants) are present.  I use antibiotics but also instruct my patients in skin decolonization as is done with joint replacement patients and chest surgery patients.  Ask your surgeon about this step.  I believe it has decreased my capsular contracture incidence.

Hello Joanne,  Your clothing precludes an accurate assessment.  I wonder if lifting the implants up and in would give you the cleavage you desire without going as large as 750 cc.  Those are heavy and stretch out the skin and breast tissue and drop your underneath crease lower.  This makes the woman look older and heavier than she is.  Your lift might need to be revised if the implant is raised.  I hope your revisional surgery goes well.

Hello, It sounds like you'd like to eliminate all foreign body and use tissue or fat, is that right?  I think you have tissue expanders in place now.  They seem high and lateral.  I wonder if they could be repositioned.  You may not be willing to go through additional pain as this has been more painful than expected.  Tissue from elsewhere on your body or fat may not be able to increase medial cleavage, that's why I suggested moving the tissue expanders in and down.  Your nipples don't look ...

Giuse,  I believe you will get a good result with any breast lift method.  The scarring varies with procedure.  I like the longevity of the lollipop lift.  Fat transfer is not essential in your case but may help add fullness.  Fat transfer is permanent (83% of fat lives) and has a low complication rate.  All the best.

Lucimen,  I would recommend surgery at your current weight if your surgeon has agreed that you are a good candidate.  Weight loss will deflate your breasts and provide less fat to transfer.  I have a BMI limit for Tummy Tuck, but I assume you have met your surgeon's limit.  You may still want a breast lift with scars because fat transfer does not uplift the nipples or bottom breast.  All the best.

Hi Stacey,  I almost always place the implants partly under the pectoralis major muscle in first-timers, but if you were happy before this rupture, have a lot of covering breast tissue and don't have a capsular contracture, I would replace them in the same pocket.  I might suggest you replace BOTH implants to get an updated pair.  I hope you are as happy with this revision as you were the first time.

Hello, It looks like you have malar bags.  These crescent shaped pockets are below the orbital bone but are related to it.  They are not improved with a blepharoplasty alone.  They are caused by swelling in tissues defined and surrounded by ligaments deep under the skin.  The surgical treatment is not 100% effective and could be a midface lift, facelift or extended lower blepharoplasty.  Some doctors use dermal fillers to try to camouflage the puffs.  All the best to you.

Thanks for your question.  I can see that your breasts look larger and much fuller on top.  They have that push up bra look that sometimes goes away after the implants settle.  Your implant size is now in the extra large range.  That nipple sensation you felt when you bent over is common.  I don't know the exact reason, but it may be due to additional stretching of the nerves with implant pressure.  If you experience this frequently, you may want to ask your surgeon for numbing cream to use...

Yes, oral birth control pills can increase the risk of blood clots, but I wonder if 10 days is long enough for the effects on blood clotting to wear off.  The breast augmentation surgery and the usual patient is at low risk for blood clots, so many surgeons do not require stopping them or removing a Nexplanon.

Sandramaa,  Congratulations on your weight loss.  I think your result  is overall good, and that slight flattening is common with the degree of laxity and ptosis you had.  The left breast does seem a little more low than the right side.  Perhaps a capsule tightening would lift the implant up and fill out that flat area.  Could you persuade your original surgeon to do this and save the $13,800?

Hello,  I didn't see you mention the structured saline implant, made by the Ideal Implant company.  This is a silicone shell with nested implants inside with slits.  It is filled with saline and is adjustable.  The nested implants with small slits slow down the saline movement.  Ripples are decreased, and the implant is adjustable.  It feels a little more natural, similar to silicone.  There is no cost savings as it is the price of a gel.  If it ruptures, there is partial deflation.  Look ...
