Given that Isoretinoins can increase the risk of scar formation, the conventional wisdom is to avoid any laser treatments, waxing, dermabrasion for 6 months after stopping the medication. Thank you for the question as these two procedures are often done together. Your provider is doing things right in that he/she is doing the Genesis first followed by the filler. We recommend waiting at least 2 weeks after a filler is injected before having a Genesis treatment so I feel that having 3 weeks between the two procedures is fine.

Thanks for the question. We do a lot of Laser Genesis in combination with fillers. It’s important to have the Genesis treatment done first though as the there is some heat production from the Genesis treatment and you don’t want this to affect the filler. See an experienced provider.
