The purpose of the MonaLisa touch laser is to stimulate collagen growth and blood flow improving the mucosa on the vaginal walls to promote vaginal rehydration and functionality of the treated area. In regards to your question relaying if the MonaLisa treatment will aid in with your labiaplasty, this procedure will not improve in the appearance of the vaginal opening. Surgical correction will help you obtain the change of appearance you seek.

It helps you pay for out-of-pocket expenses not covered by medical insurance by extending special financing options that your can’t get when using your Visa or MasterCard. Since long term clinical studies have not been done yet, medicare and other insurance companies to not cover this treatment unfortunately.

According to research behind the MonaLisa touch therapy, it is generally recommended that a 6 week period occur between the initial first, second, and third treatment. In that time, you are allowing the treated tissue to heal and regenerate collagen growth along with space to heal properly. For long term success, we also like to let our patients know that they can return in one year to repeat the treatment.
2 days after final MonaLisa Touch treatment, I got into jacuzzi. It’s been painful. What do I do?

The irritation you are experiencing may be due to an infection from the jacuzzi. The tissue of the vulva is “temporarily damaged” during the treatment so there is so protection until the tissue recovers. It is advised to have a rest period of about 7 days to let the treated area heal properly. If it is still an issue, I recommend that you be seen by your physician. Cold packs will help relieve the pain until then.
