Statement: Plastic surgery encompasses the restoration, rejuvenation and the enhancement of patients through the art of surgery. I have been an artist since I was young, and this avenue allows me to combine my two passions while helping people. In plastics, the end goal of a surgery is a combination of my abilities, as well as the patients’ and my vision of what the end result will look like. When you can deliver that—or better—to a patient, there is no greater feeling.

I chose to practice at Riverview Health after for several reasons. I was looking for a position that would allow me to do breast reconstruction in addition to general plastic surgery and elective procedures, and this job fit that description to a tee. It was obvious to see how committed and passionate the staff and administration are about providing a high-quality service to the community here.

I think my training at the University of Utah put me on the cutting-edge of breast reconstruction and will allow me to provide wonderful care to the women in this area. In addition, I’ve had the opportunity to work with some of the best surgeons in the Mountain West region, including internationally renowned surgeons. Everything I’ve learned from them will allow me to provide a tremendous service to the community here.
My family and I are so excited to be in Indiana. We love all things outdoors, such as hunting, fishing and camping. I personally love to restore and work on classic cars.

You should be evaluated by your local plastic surgeon/vascular surgeon to see if they would consider your veins treatable. There are a lot of different factors that determine if we can treat these with sclerotherapy or not.

Typically speaking the quoted time for surgery is total room time meaning from the time you roll into the room until you roll out of the room after your surgery. Most plastic surgery literature will state that you want to keep your elective surgeries under 6 hours total of general anesthetic to avoid increased risks of complications, so your surgery would fall in that category. Each surgery has to be evaluated on a patient-to-patient basis. However, some surgeons may push that time limit.

Body odor can be caused by a variety of issues. However, sweat mixing with bacteria in your armpits and other areas is what leads to “body odor”. Botox can reduce the amount of sweat that is produced and as a happy side effect, will lead to less body odor as well.

Botox during pregnancy is something that each plastic surgeon will have their own personal policy on. Some feel that it is completely safe while others have a strict “no botox during pregnancy” policy. The plastic surgeons that are comfortable injecting botox during pregnancy typically wait until after the first trimester as that is when all the critical structures are formed in the fetus. You should contact your local plastic surgeon’s office and ask them about their policy.
